Miranda Walker

Artists Statement.

I work intuitively to produce images which exploit the photographic medium, as well as a given theme, to explore a point of view, or to provoke discussion or reflection.
Themes of interest to me are environmental, religions, and social. Subject matter, always the found object (as opposed to set up), is broadly interpreted: my work has been described as “extended documentary”.
Personal work is aimed mainly at the gallery space and/or publication, whilst editorial work and commissions are undertaken for more commercial projects. I work mainly in colour.
