Catriona Grant, born Dunfermline, Scotland 1964.
Gained her BA Hons Fine Art from Glasgow School of Art, 1986 and her MSc Electronic Imaging from Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art & Design, Dundee, 2001.
She is an Edinburgh-based artist who works with lens-based and digital media to create work for exhibition.
She holds a part-time post as a Lecturer in the Photography Department, Edinburgh College of Art.
She has been the recipient of a number of commissions and residencies including a Slovakia/UK artists’ exchange project (2004), an iaab Residency, Basel (2003), and a hospital-based public art commission as part of the Fusion, Artlink Edinburgh project (2001).
Her recent project, ‘The Examination Room’, is touring nationally and internationally. The series was most recently exhibited by Belfast Exposed Photography (May 2005), accompanied by a substantial publication with essays by Roberta McGrath and Roy Exley.
